Front Run Russell 3000

I have mentioned it my blog in the past that I believe front-running the Russell 3000 can be a short-term opportunity.  I have never really tested it, but plan to test it over the next month.  Here are some key links:

Looking at these, last year stocks over $100m made the list.  So this year I looked at stocks between 110m and 120m that were not on last year's list.  I will track this group of stocks against the Russell 3000 index in total over the next month.

Some of them look kind of interesting (I have not looked closely at anything).  RCKY and STRT are at least making some money.  Then PAMT has a very large short ratio, it appears they are exploring strategic alternatives.  Not sure why they are so heavily shorted, unless the market is not giving that any credence.
