Tardy Weekend Update

Better Late Than Never

Back at home on my trusty Lenovo.  I know everything computer related in sales is down.  Everyone says it is the IPad etc, but part of it is that computers from a few years back are still very strong.  I really see no reason to buy a new one, this one is great!

In the shortened Thanksgiving week, I was up every day (and I do not mean waking up... though that was true as well).  Had a great time at Universal Studios with the Fam.  I did get a bit queasy riding the RipIt Rideit Rockit Roller Coaster.  But it was still a rush.

So overall, I was up almost exactly 1% and now am sitting at my high for the year.  I guess my MFI tranches continue to (sticking with the theme) Rockit.  They are now stomping the Russell 3000 by 23.7 points.  Talk about a rush.

Dividend Portfolio

Ok, you know the drill.  This is my laggard portfolio.  That did not miraculously change this week:

Hard to believe NUS is now up y 207%.  The newest tranche is off to a sweet start.

Discretionary Portfolio

Obviously GTAT and GNW are the big boys here.  But HIMX and CS did pick up a bit this week:

Stock Gain Cost Price
GTAT 189.4%           3.39           9.81
GNW 112.7%           7.10         15.11
HIMX 11.9%           8.94         10.00
CS 4.0%         28.75         29.90
HIG-WT 27.0%         21.24         26.98
KLIC 13.2%         11.15         12.62
BAC-WTA 23.2%           5.35           6.59
Grand Total 55.9%

Thinking about my two Tarp Warrant stocks, BAC and HIG (both having a solid year), Barron's wrote a very complimentary article about Capital One this weekend (Capital One shares could jump 40 percent - Barron's).  They also have warrants and I may watch them for a decent entry point, though they are more lightly traded.

Other Stuff

Here are my weightings by portfolio.  Note this is my second straight week with no transactions:

Portfolio Proportion
Dividend 31.7%
Mfi 21.7%
Discretionary 19.7%
Cash 27.0%
