Anatomy of A Dividend Stock

Just a quick table before we hit the road - waiting for kids to get out of school.  As my readers know, I have a good chunk of my investments in dividend stocks. While not sexy, these provide great income and you get the wonderful effect of compounding.  Psychologically, I am able to hold these stocks through tough times easier as I know I am reinvesting dividends and getting more shares (so I am a buyer).

So these are just the monthly dividends - reinvested.  The beauty is that my dividends get dividends. That is truly sweet.  That is how you become the richest man in Babylon.

Marshall, wondering since you have been using the magic formula for awhile. Do you ever see the same stocks on there quarter after quarter, year after year? I just recently have followed you but I am wondering if a company like CA which has gone nowhere for 5 years is always on there?

Marshall, I am still holding LMNS. Looking at the previous earning, is it still a hold? Thank you in advance for your time. Have a great long weekend!

Junker - some stocks have been on the screen for multiple years. DLX is a great example. CA has been on a lot as well.

Lynn - I think LMNS is a hold at $9.It is not expensive, they should make more money next year and balance sheet looks good. My view is this should be a 11 to $14 stock.
