Weekend Update

Great week, great year so far.  Pretty much everything is working in my portfolio.  I am now up 7.1% on the year.  In the back of my mind, I keep expecting a pullback, but I am not sure what is going to cause that anytime soon.  There seems to be a lot of exuberance.

Even the Magic Formula is working! (kind of). My MFI Index is up 6.39% for the year, which is right on par with R3K.

As my readers know, one of my favorites things that can happen is when a stock increases their dividend.  That is just extra cashola.  And one of my favorite stocks (O) increased their dividend yet again, by a whopping 19% (Realty Income Raises Dividends By A Record 19.20%)!  My biggest regret on this company is that I sold a bunch of shares in 2008.  I had bought back in 2001 and in 2008 I was worried about Commercial Real Estate, given what had happened in Residential Real Estate. I sold at a bit under $20 a share. Since then, they have grown to $43 a share PLUS paid over $7 in dividends.  Sometimes it is easy to out-think things.
