Taken to School

Thankfully I sold my ESI in my big sell-off at the end of June. It is down 35% since I sold them. They were down 14% today as Apollo said they had had an incredible 40% drop in enrollment (APOL: Projects 40% Decline in FYQ1 New Enrollment). I thought these education stocks were down as Govt funding was at risk of being pulled, but it looks like there is more than just that. Jim Chanos was shorting these stocks (Chanos Remains Short For-Profit Education Stocks) and the Hospital space (like AMED). I have decided that I will never actively take a position in something he has decided to short. He does his homework and makes very smart bets.
