Spinning Wheel

Good old Blood, Sweat & Tears:
"What goes up, must come down.
Spinning Wheel, got to go around."

Pretty much sums up the stock market. JG says in his book that the MFI portfolio not only out-performs the market, but is less risky. That may be so, but he is clearly talking about a two to three year horizon. This past few days, my portfolio has way under-performed the market. I am now trailing the benchmark IWV by a fair chunk.

Stock News
PCU - Hey Garcia won the Peruvian election. Hasn't helped the stock (sigh)
RAIL - Broke its skid up 2.9% today
TGIS - Hammered 11.5% for no reason I can see.

Below is a table showing my results as of this ominous date, 06/06/06. I do not show the table because I am "excited" about my results... but rather I am hopeful that this will be the low water mark from here to eternity.

BTW, I don't feel so bad. I have started 4 hypothetical MFI portfolios.
