I know I am no longer an MFI investor, but I am still a follower. I created my MFI index for the 2012 based upon the top 50 screen over 100m at the start of the year. I gotta tell you, a lot of the names on that list look extremely cheap. They certainly had a strong first week as some long out-of-favor stocks (like ESI) showed some life.

My dividend portfolio did not fare as well, up just 1%. Obviously STD was a major drag. Jim Jubak (
Banco Santander) still thinks STD is going to $9 short term and $12 by end of 2012. I darn sure hope he is right! His rationale is they will not need a capital infusion.
