Greetings From Singapore

Greetings From Singapore

Landed here last night, first time ever here.  Met a couple friends and they took me to a fabulous Brew/Pub called Level 33. The picture to the left doesn't do it justice, but we were on a terrace on the 33rd floor with a spectacular view of the harbor.

It is weird to be here, 13 hours ahead of NYC.  It is morning, but I am reading the financial news at the NYSE closing.  Looks like I got some great news on GME, which is becoming one of my larger holdings (GameStop's stock surges after new software sales rise during holiday period ).

BKE went x their special dividend.  That is a snappy $3 a share I will get shortly.  It is part of my new MFI Formula portfolio, which is really hanging in there.

10/1/2014 Stocks Start Current Dividend Pct Gain R3K Gain
BAH $23.52 $28.46 $0.11 21.5% 3.5%
BKE $45.55 $50.04 $3.22 16.9% 3.5%
CA $27.87 $31.23 $0.25 12.9% 3.5%
GME $41.70 $32.77 $0.33 -20.6% 3.5%
NUS $44.56 $40.96 $0.35 -7.3% 3.5%
Totals 4.7% 3.5%
12/31/14 Stocks Start Current Dividend Pct Gain R3K Gain
CA $30.83 $31.23 $0.00 1.3% -2.7%
CSCO $28.36 $28.10 $0.19 -0.3% -2.7%
RGR $34.81 $37.80 $0.00 8.6% -2.7%
GME $34.21 $32.77 $0.00 -4.2% -2.7%
IQNT $19.87 $19.20 $0.00 -3.4% -2.7%
Totals 0.4% -2.7%

And that is before the potential 5 to 8% pop GME should get tomorrow.

Oil prices continue to crash.  I am just blown away by the drop.  One could have made A LOT of money if you had predicted this 6 months ago. SCO (a ETF that shorts oil) has gone from $25 to $100 in that period.  It seems like there is some money to be made here, but I am staying away from the space.  I keep expecting some names from this space to start showing up on MFI screens, but am not seeing it yet.

Well, I need to get ready for the day.
