Made it through another week, another month and another quarter. Feels a little wobbly from time to time, but still all-in-all pretty pleased. At the 1/2 point of 2013 I am up 12.9%. That is on top of 17.6% in 2012, so it has been a nice run.
As my readers know, I have three main groupings of stocks: Dividend, MFI and Discretionary. Dividend stocks continue to under-perform thus far in 2013, in part as I have had too much basic materials/precious metals and in part due to bond-like investments being under pressure. But this is a portfolio with (hopefully) a long a patient outlook.

Discretionary Stocks
These are stocks I buy for various reasons. Often they are MFI stocks which I really like. Also, these can be stocks selling well under book value or stocks that I have seen Gurus buy.
