Well, another week has passed. I will wait until the weekend update tomorrow to spare ye gentle reader the gory details. I did struggle a bit. But that is why it is probably not a good idea to look at your portfolio every day.
Putting the week aside, I will note that I had another MFI Select tranche hit it's one year anniversary today. So I have sold my stocks and selected five new names.
The portfolio that passed away was my worst since the August 2012 reboot. It was down over 25% and there was nary a redeeming stock in the tranche. It feels good to start anew.
For the record, I have listed all 16 closed tranches - one can see exactly how bad the 5/6/15 tranche was:

So DEPO reported today and I had hopes that it would be a solid report and perhaps give that stock a little redemption. But not to be. KORS was my standout, down 18%.
For the record, the five stocks I sold in May 2015 dropped 22% the following year, so they sucked too. And the other 10 stocks I considered, but did not buy, were down 17%... so (all together) sucked too.

So day one was good. Fingers crossed on the remaining 364. The stocks I decided not to buy: AAPL, AGX, LDOS, AMAG and IQNT. They were up 0.7%.
