I mentioned over the weekend how the wheels had fallen off a bit of late. Yesterday was one of my worst days ever. I have recovered some today, but I am now sitting down 6% on the year.
he R3K is down a bit more than 5%, so I am trailing. It has mostly been my discretionary picks as MFI Select and MFI formula are each down about 1.6%. But my MFI index is down 9.3%.
Then look at the MFI tracking portfolios,it is getting a bit ugly:
| 8/29/2014 | -6.3% | -2.8% | 0 |
| 9/26/2014 | -2.0% | -1.3% | 0 |
| 10/31/2014 | -4.2% | -3.3% | 0 |
| 11/28/2014 | -9.4% | -5.6% | 0 |
| 12/31/2014 | -9.5% | -5.6% | 0 |
| 1/30/2015 | -7.1% | -3.0% | 0 |
| 2/27/2015 | -14.5% | -8.1% | 0 |
| 3/27/2015 | -12.5% | -6.8% | 0 |
| 4/24/2015 | -16.2% | -9.3% | 0 |
| 5/29/2015 | -12.3% | -8.9% | 0 |
| 6/26/2015 | -12.1% | -9.0% | 0 |
| 7/30/2015 | -8.9% | -9.0% | 1 |
The first column of percentages are MFI and the second are the benchmark. The benchmoarks are down an average of 6% versus 9% for MFI. It is a struggle.
