I bought CCUR yesterday at 7.25 for my dividend portfolio. This is a micro cap stock from the MFI screen that has a great balance sheet and yields 6.4%. My intent is to hold for at least a year.
Another stock I am watching closely is VEC, which was spun off from XLS on September 29th. These small spinoffs have been featured in "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius" as fertile ground for out sized returns. It has fallen from $21.5 to $19.44, so I may buy on a further dip. It is hard to find financials, but what I have read makes it look pretty attractive (more on cash flow than growth).

I like to play in the spin off space too. I like waiting a little after the spin off and buy on a dip. Generally a week or two out seems to be a good entry point (after the sell off pressure by the big boys where the small spinoff doesn't fit into their investment profile)
Paul - I did buy VEC yesterday at 19.79'm
