Sometimes things work out ok. I sold my CHKE yesterday and so had room for a new stock. I had put in a buy order for DD a month or two ago at $43.78, and guess what? DD announced a lower estimate for the 4th quarter and the stock tanked early and then bounced back.
I am thrilled to get DD. They have a 3.4% dividend and are big in the seed business, which is a real boom area. I would not say I got them cheaply (they have a lot of debt), but I am pleased with the price and the quality of the company and I like being in new sector.
