Wow, was there a better Blues singer than the great Billie Holiday? And then Stormy Weather has to be one of the great American standards.
But Stormy Weather also describes how MFI is performing of late. I know my overall portfolio is on a slide, but the tracking portfolios I set up for MFI are also struggling. It actually makes me feel a bit better about how my May and August tranches have done.
Here is a table showing the 12 open tracking portfolios:
14.5% | 19.6% | |
7.4% | 14.8% | |
5.6% | 12.2% | |
6.8% | 9.2% | |
10.0% | 12.8% | |
5.9% | 7.7% | |
-1.0% | 8.1% | |
-1.5% | 8.1% | |
-0.3% | 4.7% | |
-3.6% | 2.3% | |
-1.4% | 1.8% | |
-2.9% | 0.0% |
The second column is how the 50 stocks are doing and the third column is the R3K benchmark. You can see all 12 are losing. And if you do the math, losing by an average of 5 points! Pretty significant.
