Weekly and Mid Year Update - 2015

Half Way Through The Year

Well, I am half way through 2015.  Amazingly, it has been a strong year and I am up 13.3%. That will surely jinx it.  NHTC has been the star, but even without my star, I'd be up 6.1%.

These are both better than the R3K, up just under 2% in what has been a year of fits and starts. I am also really starting to generate a lot of dividend income.  With my secret multiplier, I have generated $41,714 in the 1st half. That is an increase of over 30% from a year ago.  I now have 7 securities that pay a monthly distribution:

1. NTC
2. CSQ
3. AOD
4. SJT
5. FSC
6. OIBAX and 
7. O

Currently, all seven are just being reinvested.  That alone would increase my monthly dividends in a year by 6% or so.

So since the start of the year, this portfolio has gone from 174K to 213K.  That is over 22% in the first 6 months.  And the differential (due to multiplicity) has gone from 28.2 percentage points to 64.6 points!

MFI Formula

As mentioned, I have kicked off my 4th and final tranche.  I am now fully invested in the formula approach and hopefully will now just watch and wait.
