EOW

End of Week

Not a bad week, think I was up about 2%. I did sell 40% of my Intel as I "split" the baby and used the funds to buy SUPG. INTC is still 3.5% of my portfolio, so I was overweight anyway. Their earnings seemed decent, but the stock sold off a little bit today.

"Nano-Nano"

One of my best MFI stocks has been NVMI, which is up 62% since I bought them October 29th. They were up almost 10% today as all the Nano technology stocks were up on INTC's planned cap-ex spending (Intel's Spending Boosts Chip-Equipment Bulls). While NVMI is not "cheap" any more. By my measure, they rank #282. However, if you assume their next quarter will match their most recent quarter (which they are suggesting may happen) they jump to #98! I am not telling you to run out and buy NVMI, but I do like their prospects.

My Portfolio Versus Ed

As faithful readers know, I started a portfolio December 3rd of 50 stocks to hold for a year and am tracking how the do versus Ed's Talking Stock, a blog I read. He hasn't been doing to well, and I am trucking along a bit better than average.
