Grin And Bear It

Wow, will January be over soon? Hard to believe it can get much worse, but I suppose there is room for more drops. I don't think I'll publish my graphs this week as they have actually gone "off the chart" and I don't feel like making a new minimum.

Maybe we should talk of better things, Of sealing wax and cabbages and Kings....
Or perhaps about the Cowboys-Giants game, that should be a good one.
Or how about my 13-1 Hoosiers?

There has been a lot of debate on the Yahoo board about MFI on screening stocks. Several posters have said to avoid stocks that have had some fraud or alledged fraud recently. While I understand what they are trying to avoid, I think that is actually one of the strengths of MFI. If the fraud is known, then it is likely priced into the stock. And if many people are avoiding it for the reason, it may perversely be a good buy. MFI helps people get past their biases... though I know it can be difficult.

USANA is a good example. It has been on the list since at least last April. It has been under investigation by the SEC. Today that got closed (Usana confirms SEC probe ends with no action).
Because of that, they shot up 39% today. Makes you think.
