Note the education stocks (ESI, APOL and CECO) really were hammered. Then on GNI, people all of a sudden woke up to the fact that the trust will be dissolved in several years.

In my monthly tracking portfolios, when I wrote about the February 24th portfolio I commented that things were looking up and the most recent 6 portfolios were beating the Russell 3000. They have given it all back. If you closed all the portfolios today, the last 26 monthly portfolios would be losers, losing by an average of 7 points (up 2.8% vs 9.8% for index).

My dividend portfolio is still out-performing by a couple of points. I did sell my MNDO at the start of this week. While their dividend was pretty good (I will not receive it), I felt the outlook for 2012 was iffy. I did buy back into STD during yesterday's sell-off at $7.78. So my sale in January actually worked out and we'll see how the buy works out.
