Risk Off Feeding Frenzy

Risk Off Feeding Frenzy

What a week so far.  Some say it is a relief rally from the French election results.  But I think it is a feeding frenzy on the optimism of a corporate tax cut.

I wrote a blog back in December where I looked at corporate tax rates by company (Income Tax Rates).  No surprise, medium and small cap US companies have the most to gain.

MFI Spurt

As my MFI tracking portfolio has many names in that medium/small US sector, we have seen a real spurt in MFI working better (also some decent earnings).

4/22/2016 15.4% 14.8% 1
5/27/2016 21.5% 14.3% 1
6/30/2016 21.5% 14.0% 1
7/29/2016 16.7% 9.7% 1
8/26/2016 15.7% 9.6% 1
9/30/2016 14.8% 9.3% 1
10/28/2016 14.9% 11.8% 1
11/25/2016 4.0% 6.2% 0
12/30/2016 1.4% 4.8% 0
1/27/2017 2.6% 2.3% 1
2/24/2017 3.1% -0.9% 1
3/31/2017 1.0% -0.8% 1
Average 12 11.1% 7.9%

Whoa.  Whatta move!  First column is MFI and second column is benchmark.  I am doing better as well, I'll give some color on that this weekend.
