Ok, I have picked my five new stocks for the most recent MFI Select tranche. Some new names and some old names. Hopefully some good names.
I also rejected 10 stocks, which I will track as well:
AEIS, AMCX, EGOV, INVA, MPAA, NLS, NVMI, RPXC, TOSYY and TWX.
Here are my five names:
AGX: Builder of natural gas plants. It has been a long time since they announced a new project win and I think that has caused stock to sell off. I am comfortable they will get some wins. They are also majority US, so will benefit from taxes and (in my mind) a potential merger target for bigger E&C firms.
CASA: A company that recently IPOed, I like their growth potential in broadband space.
THO: Builder of RVs. They are Amazon proof. Decent growth trajectory. Again 100% US, so tax beneficiaries.
WDC: I owned SNDK, bought by WDC. Maker of storage stuff... seems like more and more bytes to save all the time.
KLAC: carry over from last year, I thought they had a great quarter.
