I beat myself up ALL the time for selling stocks and then seeing them pop post sale. Well, at times the shoe can be on the other foot.
I had bought AKRX as part of my 2/1/17 MFI Select tranche. It was fabulous for me, up about 85% (inclusive of a call premium I sold) as they were being bought by a German company.
Today it seems that deal has fallen through, but as I sold at the start of February, I am watching from the sidelines. The stock is down 37% after hours this evening.
Here was the tranche:
2/1/2017 | Start | Current | Dividend | Pct Gain | R3K Gain |
AKRX | $19.10 | $30.00 | $5.43 | 85.5% | 24.7% |
YY | $41.08 | $132.96 | $0.00 | 223.7% | 24.7% |
KLAC | $85.11 | $109.80 | $2.26 | 31.7% | 24.7% |
WNC | $17.65 | $25.83 | $0.24 | 47.7% | 24.7% |
RGR | $52.75 | $52.95 | $1.36 | 3.0% | 24.7% |
Totals | 74.9% | 24.7% |
At $19 as I type.
Strong day for my MFI stocks. DIN and HPQ were each up over 6%. DIN has been ungodly in February. Here are all my MFI Formula stocks in February (they have been en fuego):
Stock | Current | Dividend | Change |
GILD | 81.79 | - | -2.0% |
OMC | 78.10 | - | 2.5% |
GME | 16.08 | - | -3.5% |
SYNT | 26.64 | - | 17.2% |
CSCO | 45.36 | - | 8.8% |
HPQ | 23.46 | - | 0.7% |
AMGN | 188.50 | 1.32 | 2.3% |
HRB | 26.87 | - | 2.8% |
BKE | 22.35 | - | 11.2% |
DIN | 74.05 | - | 34.2% |
RGR | 48.80 | - | -4.8% |
That works out to +4.8%, while market is down about 1%. Now I am sure I have jinxed it.
