My second straight extremely head-scratching day. As I mentioned yesterday, I was up huge (over 2%)... today just as strange. I was in the green, despite the Dow being down a freaking 660 points.
Of course it is probably just reversion to the mean. Recall I underperformed benchmark (in total) by 15 points last year. With today's green print, I am beating the Russell 3000 by 4.3% after just two days.
It seems to be a value push to some extent as MFI Index was off by just 5 basis points today (helped by CELG move) while R3K was down 236 basis points.
My Baker's Dirty Dozen gave back a bunch today as tech stocks (like LRCX) really got hammered with AAPL news.
